Aaron Wurst

Aaron Wurst is a Vice President in the Global Investment Resources Group with a focus in Healthcare. He also leads the Healthy Benefits Initiative. He is based in Washington, DC.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Aaron spent 10 years at CVS Health where he held a variety of roles focused in the Retail Pharmacy and PBM business units. He left CVS as the Vice President of Retail Growth where he sat on the Retail Leadership Team (RLT) responsible for the $90BN Retail Pharmacy business, acting as chief of staff and strategy lead for the Retail President. Prior to that he led a team of 40+ to manage the $5BN+ pharmacy growth portfolio, and developed and deployed new sources of revenue and profitability improvement. In addition, he led consumer strategy during CVS Health’s acquisition of Aetna. Before CVS, Aaron spent time at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island and served as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman.

Mr. Wurst received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School with distinction. He received a

B.S. in Applied Physics from Cornell University.
